The Cry Of The Dove

by Caroline Allen - 03:58 on 31 August 2007

Can you hear the softest cry of this Holy Dove, it's song is a cry in the night, and early morn, can you hear the mournful cries, of the Holy Spirit's call, He's been crying for centuries to the children of God. He cries when His name is brought down, He cries when His children are wronged, His Spirit is deeply wounded, for those that mock His name, can you hear this cry, can you hear this torment of His wounded cry, He's been crying for centuries, since the beginning of time, He cried when His Son, was beaten, and crucified, Oh He cries when He's rejected, and unloved, can you hear this wounded dove, from above, He never relents, or gives up in seeking those He's called to Him, and He never gives up, on the one that strays far and away, but His mournful cries continue night, and day, come to Me, all ye that are heavy laden and burdened, for My yoke is easy, and my burden is light, this is the cry of this Holy Dove, day and night.  Lisa Beth Jenkins c.2007 All Rights Reserved
