CRAWFORD, ROSE ANNA

Rosanna Strain ("Rose Anna" is also noted) married James Crawford on the 14th February 1846 at the Banbridge parish Church. At the time they both lived in Ballydown. The register is witnessed by their fathers : Hugh Crawford, a sawyer, and Arthur Strain, a labourer. James is recorded as being a bleacher while Rosanna has no recorded job.
She died on the 26th August 1894 at the age of 68. Her son Hugh Crawford witnessed her death. Both were resident at 50 Lavinia Street.
IIt is that address that confirms her as within our ancestry. 50 Lavinia Street is also where our grandmother Annie was born to Hugh Crawford and Annie Cherrie.
