Free Flags

Metham's Foot, East Yorkshire regiment of foot. Raised by Sir Thomas Metham for the King and fought at first siege of Hull and other battles in Yorkshire. The colours are based on the heraldic colours of the Metham family

Thomas Rainsborough was killed by members of the garrison from Pontefract Castle on a raid on Doncaster.
