Previous walks. Dornoch to Skelbo. 2/10/2016.We last did this walk in November 2011 and it was a beautiful day then. We were again fortunate with the weather. It was so warm one waybagger even had shorts on! That must be a first. We started from Dornoch and made our way along the beach to Embo pier where we had a stop for some food. We then continued on our way under a beautiful blue sky and clear views across to Tarbet Ness Lighthouse. We eventually reached Skelbo and walked up the track to have a look at Skelbo castle. It is in a ruinous state with scaffolding propping up some of the walls. The undergrowth is full of nettles so there was a few yelps and some swearing from the group. We made back to the cars on the shore of Loch Fleet and while there Alyson spotted a pod of dolphins. It was a good end to the walk.
