Armadale to Strathy Point. 12/10/09.

We made our way by car to Armadale running in and out of heavy rain showers. There were a few moans about the weather at the start but we put on our waterproofs and headed off. We were at once hit by another heavy shower of rain but it soon passed in the strong wind. The sun came out and Armadale Bay looked stunning.

Just before Boursa Island we saw a waterspout. Strong winds and a heavy sea were forcing water up through a hole in the rocks.

We stopped for some lunch and had to hang on to our pack lunch boxes in the strong wind. We reached Strathy Lighthouse after another heavy rain shower, but it hadn't been that bad  with only two rain showers in a day that had looked unpromising when we started.
