Yarrows to Cranberry Cottage. 1/11/2015.

We started our walk at the new car park which has been built for the Yarrows Archeogical Traill. Conditions underfoot were very wet and boggy on the Traill. Not very tourist friendly! It is quite sad really that these sights are not developed as they are in Orkney. They are away ahead of us in the tourist game.

We squelched onwards until we saw Cranberry Cottage in the distance. We left the Traill and made our way through long heather which tried to trip you up the whole time. We stopped for a welcome cup of tea and sandwiches before heading back to the Yarrows Traill and a completion of the circuit. Not one of my most enjoyable walks.
