The wedding took place at Northwich parish church on Saturday of Mr Fred Joseph Coe, younger son of Mr and Mrs E Coe, of 53, Morris Drive, Weaverham and Miss Dorothy Elizabeth Nelson, second daughter of the late Mr F J Nelson and Mrs S Nelson of 22, East avenue, Rudheath.
The reverand A W Maitland-Wood performed the ceremony and the organist was Mr W H Horrocks.
The bride who was given away by her brother, Mr E E (Ernie) Nelson, wore a white embroidered cloque dress with a full length embroidered veil and a triple link of pearls and carried a horse shoe bouquet of red and pink roses and orchids.The chief bridesmaid was Miss Nora Nelson, brides sister, who wore an apple green taffeta dress and a matching head-dress and carried a horse shoe bouquet of anemones.
The other bridesmaids, Miss Vera Nelson, brides sister, and Miss Marion Dakin, wore lavender coloured taffeta dresses, with matching head-dresses and carried bouquets of scabious and chrysanthemums.
All three wore double links of pearls, given to them by the bridegroom. The best man was Mr Ronald Coe, brother of the bridegroom.
The reception in St John churchrooms, Rudheath, was attended by sixty guests.
The bridegroom is employed by Messrs W Timpson Ltd and the bride works at the new cheshire salt works, Wincham.
