LILLIE NELSON (ASHTON)
Ruth (Lillie's Grand daughter) writes;- I had a researcher look for me and found that Lillie had died 6th July 2008 at St Helens hospital, Marshalls Cross Road, St Helens. The researcher also contacted the informant on my behalf hoping to get some answers. Unfortunately Lillie had been very particular about contacting family after her death so the informant was reluctant to share much information. The informant paid for Lillie's cremation which was held at St Helens crematorium. I was contacted last year by a woman called Dawn who knew her. She said that Lillie attended the Methodist Trinity Church in Page Moss and that she was a lovely person. Lillie did a lot of sewing and is said to have donated her sewing machine to the Prescott museum for a display called make do and mend.
My Father didn't really have contact with his mother after the death of his Father in 1976, we lost contact with my Grandmother in the early 80's
