THE LATE MR F J NELSON
The funeral took place on Wednesday last week at Rudheath cemetary, of the late Mr Frederick James Nelson, aged 50, of 22, East Avenue, Rudheath, who died on the previous Saturday.
Mr Nelson went to live in Rudheath 16 years ago from Warrington, where he was born. He worked for Messrs Broadhurst, later being transferred to the Gadbrook works. For the past 11 years he had been employed by Messrs I.C.I ltd at Winnington as a process worker. He is survived by his wife, seven sons and four daughters.
Services at the house, church and cemetary were conducted by the Rev O.W Lloyd.
The mourners were the widow, Messrs Ronald, Ernest, Eric, Ivor, Brian, William and Kenneth Nelson (Sons), Mrs Burns and Miss Dorothy and Miss Vera Nelson (Daughters).
Mrs Nelson (Mother), Mrs Grinham (Mother in law), Mr Burns (Son in law), Mr and Mrs Frank Nelson and Mr and Mrs Arthur Nelson (Brother and sisters in law), Mrs E Nelson (Daugter in law), Mr and Mrs E Grinham(Brother in law and sister). Mr Green and Mr Percy Wright.
The I.C.I ltd process department were represented by Messrs H Bramhall (Manager), P L House (Foreman), R Buckley, S Garied, E Foxley, N Dutton, A Gill, C Weedall, W Hayes, F Oakes, R Johnson, A Lewis and F Sherrett.
The bearers were Messrs Ronald, Ernest and Eric Nelson (Sons) and Mr Jim Peters.

MRS S NELSON
Mother of 11, Mrs Susan Nelson, of 22 East Avenue, died in hospital recently, aged 76.
Mrs Nelson, the widow of Frederick James Nelson, who died 23 years ago, was born in Stockport but lived in Northwich for 40 years and is survived by seven sons and four daughters.
At the time of her death she was a member of the Rudheath and St Johns mothers union and had been conected with Rudheath Parish church. In her earlier years she was a sergeant in the St Johns ambulance brigade and received several medals in recognition of her services.
Five years ago Mrs Nelson flew to Australia where she stayed for nine months with her eldest son and family.
Officiating clergy at the funeral in Rudheath parish church and at the interment at Rudheath cemetry were the Revs. G L Davies and P K Lee. Arrangements were by George Bell, Lostock Green.

Susan Grinham was born in Stockport on the 21st September 1897, and later the family moved to Tylesley in Lancashire.
Her father was Ernest Grinham, who was born in 1877 and died in Blackpool in 1946 aged 70, and her mother was Elizabeth (Groves) Grinham who was born on 27th November 1874 and died on 3rd April 1967.
Elizabeth Groves father, John Groves was born in Marple.
