LOOSE ENDS
When researching family trees and the stories therein, there are inevitably loose ends. They need to be revisited, to be delved into deeper, substantiated. Some may be mere family legends. But even if they are, why did they persist? Why did certain names keep being used? Did our ancestors believe them even if they were of uncertain validity?
