WELLS IN NORFOLK
Our family story begins in East Dereham with William Wells who married Elizabeth Secker. These are my great great grandparents. (More on their family under William Wells).
Then we find Ernest William Wells, my great granfather, and Mary Wells (nee Hess), my great grand mother. I am not sure whether she accompanied him, but he was to spend some time as a chemist in Grahamstown in South Africa. (More on him under his own section).
Eventually there is Cuthbert Ernest Wells, my maternal grandfather (also with his own section).

An interesting digression occurs with the Hase family to which they become connected by marriage. With that comes the strange story of Bylaugh Hall.
