WATSON ALIDA HILDEGARD, nee Walls
Hildegard married Jack Montague Watson in the Strand on the 10th December 1948. She was in fact born in the Strand on the 6th April 1922.
Their 2 sons and a daughter were born in Gwelo, then within Rhodesia which was to become Zimbabwe. That gives us a clue to their life there as farmers before moving to Zevenfontein overlooking the Cape Flats.
Her maiden name of Walls intrigues me. Elise Watson, sister-in-law married to Graham Watson, was born a Kockott, but had a grandfather of Walls. Quite how the connection works has still not unravelled.
