Amid the glare of television lights, showing it all in one view, the Cincinnati Reds' fans were all left naked underneath but not as nature intended as the Mets clinched victory in the tenth. In contrast the panoply of ecstatic Mets' fans were all singing in unison and dressed up in a complete suit of delight as their team drank confusion to the blue Reds in a match that was decided in extra innings. Seriously, though, Mike Pelfrey was doing a wonderful job even though Adam Dunn, Edwin Encarnacion and Brandon Phillips hit homers off his fast pitch during the game as it rolled over into extra innings. For all that, the Mets were never in full control of this game but when the gloves came off and push came to shove  they most definite imposed their will in the game. Final score:  Mets   7   Reds   5
