IT'S ALL ENGLISH TO ME !

  Venga! Venga! Venga!  Animate!

I received an email from a friend of mine recently where he expressed an interest in learning English. He added that, albeit, he was very keen on getting straight to the heart of the language he did not wish to delve too deeply into the subject owing to lack of time and all that jazz since, according to him, all that business about studying tires him (this is a typical peculiarity of my friend, he is constantly pushing the boundaries of my intellectual forbearance, even though, he jolly well knows that I wouldn't never surrender my sense of judgement to his will as he knows that I know a bigger fool than I who is perennially soaring among the clouds).  I replied by saying that he who was not willing to pursue his ambitions would never fulfil his aspirations. Indeed, one's attitude determines one's achievement in life since the major causes of failure is lack of motivation, the inability to absorb fault-findings, experiences, and the wisdom of others. Certainly, everybody is different, but for long term success one must find ways to incorporate demands in one's daily life and the first step towards success ought to be the willingness to take information and advice and, of course, act upon them in a fitting manner if one is to overcome and master obstacles in one's way.  Nevertheless, when one decides to help others the how-to-do-it and the wisdom to interpret difficult situations must be found from within one and with them a solution needs then to be forged and hauled so that one can solve the problems of others. Ultimately, it must be said that he who is not prepared to come face to face with his deficiencies will never put right what he is not willing to confront; yes, a cerebral joust is required in order to stimulate one's desires  but I had better leave it there as I think we have already covered that area of ground pretty thoroughly, however, I don't wish to create mental barriers of fear and worry since this evaluation isn't yours but mine.

Languages are, questionably, of course, the most valuable assets of nations and it is worth considering the benefits of learning English as a foreign language. I have always believed that triumphs follow the self-willed individual, the one who never says die, the one who seizes his day and the one who is prepared to be patient. Nonetheless, for the benefit of my friend and a large number of Spanish Speakers around the world who have very little or no knowledge of English, and whose pursuits are such that they appreciably wish to learn as much as they can in a short period of time, I came up with the idea of writing a Self-Help Reference for learners of English.  What led to my producing this reference was my own experience of being a student of English as a foreign language in the United Kingdom.  It is mainly aimed at absolutely beginners of all ages and those who would like to brush up or, perhaps, extend their knowledge of the language. Indeed, the spoils always go to those who are very persistent and determined and I think that this Self-Help Reference would be a wonderful approach to something that could be a very, very helpful learning aid for those who wish to learn more about English as a foreign language. I most sincerely hope it proves a valuable contribution to my readers and most importantly that they enjoy the experience of learning English.
