A busy group - thanks for getting all those matches played. If we had to pick one from the unplayed matches which we would have loved to have seen, perhaps it would have been between Pedro and Antonio; it would have been fun to see how the two unbeaten players faced off! But no doubt about our winner though... Well done Antonio, a fantastic round.

"A hydrous nimbus swept Woodfield Grove Tennis club in Streatham this afternoon & left the tennis courts filled with water, as the light began to fade the floodlight needed to step in for the Local League match to take place. It needs to be said that Joanna & Pedro did a sterling job of clearing the moist away from the tennis court as it was pretty damp, to say the least. The match itself was full of passion & endeavour as Joanna fought fiercely to return Pedro's heavy serve. Certainly, there was plenty of fun to be had for those who sought a corner away from the wet to watch the match & it is believed they got plenty of entertainment watching it even though the final score doesn't do justice to Joanna's talent. Final score: 6 - 1, 6 - 0
