Home and away Mets are blowing all their rivals away!
18 July 2008
NY Mets  10   Cincinnati Red  8

Baseball is most definitely a funny old game; however, it can hardly be called an intellectual challenging pastime since the unsophisticated and Machiavellian demeanour is often found on and off the field of playing. Mets are unbeaten on ten outings.  Although it makes an interesting reading the Mets are not exempt from criticism since not so long ago we were saying that they needed to be more ruthless and drastically improve their performance away from home if they were to make the play off. Indeed, the penny seemed to have dropped and the outcome has been breathtaking.  So much so that Shea Stadium and the Met's fans have been drunk with delight for quite sometime now as they believe that they can go all the way to dispute the October's final and win it. It must be said that the Mets input into last night game at the Cincinnati Reds' home was overwhelming and David Wright, Carlos Delgado and Fernando Tatis were the heroes of the night as David went over the fence once producing a two RBI run homer and the compadres produced a RBI single and an RBI double respectively to kill the game.  Final score: Mets  10  Cincinnati  8.
