Yankees' followers feasted their eyes on seeing their team win for the seventh time in an equal number of outings.

The bite is right in some parts of the Big Apple, especially at one the corners of 161st Street and River Avenue, as Yankee Stadium becomes once more the fortress that it was once upon a time. Seven wins on the trot makes the Yankees a force to be reckoned with this season, and Yankees' supporters, including myself, expect it to be the kick-start of a golden era of Major League Baseball domination at Yankee Stadium. Confidence breeds success and indeed, the team from downtown Brooklyn seems to have made a move into a positive direction and it showed last night when they defeated the travelling San Diego Padres' novena 2 - 1 in a very competitive match. Alex Rodriguez was one of the main protagonist of this victory since it was him who brought home the winning run when he hit a single to the left field.
