Mets were dazzled and hung out to dry by the D-backs from Arizona at Shea Stadium in New York last night ! 

Billy Wagner could not finish what Johan Santana started and the Mets were defeated by the D-backs from Arizona when Miguel Monteros produced a sacrifice fly to the right field in the 10th innings to win the game for the visitors. Nevertheless, it must be said that Santana's work on the mound was a formidable one since he managed to strike out ten batters in seven innings. The final score was 5 - 4. Wagner took the loss.
