Give peace a sporting chance!

It is utterly appalling to read about nations which are still settling their disputes with wars rather than diplomacy. Dissonance is not conducive to peace and as more and more people find that living with fear is easy with their eyes closed, politicians seem to have developed a philosophical approach to altercations that it is not propitious to a state of peaceful harmony and which could lead to fighting between nations instead of reaching accord on contentious issues.  Heads I win, tales you lose! There is a fine line between chopping the dead wood from one's feet and cutting things out for the sake of doing so since pitting oneself against someone else would not put good things in. Indeed, one should, instead, beckon pivotal questions and fine solutions in order to keep one from wasting time on issues that are too dangerous to entertain.
