I cannot understand why no one else is paying attention to the plight of the planet we all live.
05 February 2008
A global deficiency of our most valuable natural resource is a threat to us all.
Making one's voice heard is not always easy especially when one is talking to politicians even if they seem to be listening for they are simply, comparatively put into words, dull and dim-witted individuals whose only concern is to be economical with the truth so that they can secure enough votes to preserve their jobs in order to continue sailing on marshmallow clouds and exercise authority over all of us.  Forewarned is forearmed, climate change is real and it is no use to bear one's head in the sand or tried to brush it under the carpet since it is an issue which will not go away. Expect the world to fall literally at your feet since more natural disasters are looming and they seem ominously. Signs are all pointing towards a painful experience but if we all do something meaningful to protect the environment it would be less so. Indeed, there is more to it than meet the eye and it is about to turn major since trends over the past ten years foreshadow a worsening decline in precipitation and as population and demands expand it will create a global deficiency of our most valuable natural resource, water. River flow, snow pack and air temperatures have altered the natural conditions and surroundings on the planet and it is down to all of us to try to reverse the causes of climate change. Indeed, there are many more knocks in store for this planet of ours before its condition improves but amid the chaos no sacrifice ought to be considered to be too great since we must not forget that Earth is a living organism which is liable to be physically and emotionally hurt and in the face of excruciating agony is not good asking it to be still when it is undergoing physical pain. Rise to the challenge, we all must do our bit for the environment and find the strength needed to curb those things that once we all felt to be as natural to do as going to the loo and which today are issues that are filled with far-reaching consequences. The well-being of our planet depends on our doings for its afflictions have been caused for our doings. Therefore, it is only fair that we curb our selfishness and steer in the right direction in order to reverse the harm that mankind, as a whole, is doing to the planet.
