Electing to stay.

After having reached a once-in-a lifetime personal turning which made him to rethink arrangements, agreements, affiliation and alliances, that he considered himself to be committed to, Alex Rodriguez has elected to stay in New York. Indeed, he had a genuine change of heart about leaving, arguably, the best Known team in Major League Baseball and I am most pleased to hear it.
