My old dad the Baseball coach!

In my eyes, Pedro Figueras is more than a coach to me. He is my best friend and he will be so for life. Certainly, the relationship we have has aided me in ways that rise above the game of baseball. He is an honest man with class and a huge amount of dignity, and the way he respected those around him,from ballplayers to groundsmen,are all qualities that are easy to admire in someone, but difficult to duplicate. I have known Pedro Figueras all my life, and he has been a big influence on my development as a baseball player and as a person. It is a privilege to play for him on the field, and an honour to learn from him off the field. He is also my father.
