The blue sky of Boston did not shed a tear for the minnows in Game 1.

The rampant Red Sox brewed a storm at home when the Rockies failed to ignite in the blue sky of Boston last night. The final score was 13 - 1.
I have been around for sometime in baseball to know better than to predict the outcome of the 2007 Major League Baseball World Series but it must be said that the Boston Red Sox have elevated themselves to be red favourite to win the most covetous price in baseball because of the way they went about their business last night in their 13 - 1 win over the Rockies. Indeed, I watched in awe last night on the box as Josh Beckett and his party mauled the Colorado Rockies with a wassail razzle-dazzle resolution of mental and physical strength which left the Rockies at a low ebb. Certainly, the defeat is a source of concern for the Rockies because of the way they performed in the first game of the best of seven; nevertheless, there are some experiences in baseball, and life for that matter, that one only ever needs once; but learning is a light that never fails to shine and the Rockies need at the moment to realise that they are better off focusing on what they need to get done and ignore everything else. With this approach they would be able to side-step what went before and issues that would otherwise be disruptive.
