The 2007 Major League Baseball World Series begins tonight. I promise you that I would not miss it for the world. May the best team win. 

I am being brutally honest when I say that I have made a conscious effort to refrain myself from making predictions about winners and losers in major competitive events but my reticence has not stopped me from imagining the imaginable spectacle of a Tea Party in Boston at the end of October. Certainly, the latter causes me some uneasiness since in my innermost thoughts I want the Rockies to win the 2007 Major League Baseball World Series. Having said that the World Series is an unknown territory for the Colorado Rockies and its fans since it will be the first time they will be challenging for the most prestigious trophy in baseball.  However, and indeed, in every competition there have to be winners and losers but let there be no doubt that the stakes are mighty high now for the competitors, punters and fans, and at the end of it all, there will be huge amounts of money exchanging hands, jubilation and inevitably large amount of tears. Aye, aye, make no mistakes about it, it will be "edge of the seat stuff" for everyone since every set of fans will be hoping that their team can steer confidently away from any potentially disastrous failure. Nevertheless, I would be a fool if I were to try to write the next chapter of this intriguing sporting competition. May the best team win.
