Game 7 promises to be a classic of lasting interest.
21 October 2007
The series has gone to the wire.
Boston Red Sox found inspiration in J.D. Drew's energy last night to force the series to go the wire. Indeed, there was a moment  of elation at the ground when Drew's perfect swing at the bat met a low fast delivery with a perfect execution off Fausto Carmona's pitching repertoire which brought a whirlwind of celebration at the Sox's den as the ball cleared the centerfield's wall bringing in four runs to the Sox's cause. It was a grand slam at a Boston's tea party as the Sox's fans took joy in frustrating the Indians' hopes. From there on the dark clouds began to appear as the sun put its shade on but it delivered less than what it promised and the Indians' adjuration to the sky for rain stumbled almost at the outset as they fell in the dust biting the earth as they fell. Fausto ran into a spot of bother in the very first inning when he was socked by the Red Sox's hit men almost at will. 12 runs to 2 was the final score but it ain't over until it is over and the Cleveland Indians can still win the playoff if they manage to conjure a victory tonight. It has been a long wait for the long-suffering Indians' fans since the last time their team contested and won the World Series was in 1948. However, they need to shake off their defeatism for they are indeed in dire need of a win tonight if they are to supply what they promise to deliver this season.
