Start spreading the news Joe Torres is leaving today.
20 October 2007
Joe Torres revealed last night his innermost thoughts to Major League Baseball and the world as a whole.
It is official as from today the New York Yankees are in search of a new Manager since Joe Torres decided that he no longer wished to be in charge of, arguably, of course, the best known baseball team in Major League Baseball after he was seemingly humiliated by the team's owner when he was only offered a year's deal in a new drafted contract. Joe's decision to speak out and removing all sort of speculation was an extremely brave thing to do for it represented the final sanction of the owner's lost, which was Joe's resignation. It is, in my view, most frustrating when a manager has been so successful as Joe has been and then being shown the door in such a disgraceful manner. Indeed, Joe served the team's needs well and, albeit, it is sometimes fair to try to make someone think as one does it is an outrage to try to make someone act as one thinks and Joe's resignation was the best way to drive this message home and the best way to illustrate it in a sensible form.   So long joe! Vaya con Dios and all the rest.
