The Quest for the richest price in baseball still on!
18 October 2007
In every competition there have to be winners and losers and I would be the last person on Earth to gloat at the abject of the defeated side but going against the conventional wisdom of the game doesn't seem to be a bad idea since it can pay dividends.

Rockies' achievement was an improbable occurrence for many at the start of the season. Nevertheless, the Rockies are in the World Series, while the Red Sox and Indians prepare for Game 5. As I dare not to express my prediction about the outcome of the contest between the Cleveland Indians and the Boston Red Sox for the NL Pennant and right to be present at the 2007 World Series I dare go against the conventional wisdom of baseball and put my head on the line by declaring my partiality to the Rockies; one never knows but it might pay dividends. Certainly, there is no easy game in Major League Baseball but one must not overlook the probabilities of an unexpected event and the prospect of more intangible benefits when weighing up the materialisation of a possibility. However, I fully understand that there is a fine line between winning and losing and the Rockies will need to be patient while outlining clearly what they would like to accomplish as they wait before kicking into high gear.
