I have learned everything and all there is to know in baseball through personal participation but I have also learned that only the true warrior can fall off his horse in a battle while the faint-hearted can only watch and kneel to the recklessness of the brave. The Colorado Rockies swept the Diamond Backs and turned their dust into gold to win the NL pennant las night in Denver and they will be present at the 2007 World Series. In the meantime the scramble for the right to contest the 2007 World Series is still going on in the American League and it is hardly news now that the  Cleveland Indians have taken a 2 - 1 lead in the AL playoff when they defeated the Boston Red Sox at their place 2 - 4. The end is near and the contest is rapidly developing into a very exciting joust but the stars in the sky, like the words of a song hum time and time again by the groundsman while seeding the fair-lines, the bases for the double play, the steal, the catch, the throw, the hit  and  the homer, will be eclipsed once more by the hubbub of many voices when the Indians and the Reds meet again tonight.
