Speak a language!

From my personal experience, commitment, single-mindedness and perseverance were the main elements which licensed me proficiency in English and French as foreign languages. Indeed, it took me a prodigious time to become competent in both languages but I was very keen on getting straight to the heart of the matter as I delved deeply into both subjects. Was it worthy? Yes. Albeit debatable, foreign languages are in my opinion the most valuable assets of an individual's curriculum vitae since they enable one to absorb new experiences and the wisdom of others in a more pragmatic manner. I am of the persuasion that success walk behind the self-willed individual, the one who seizes the day and is prepared to be forbearing and if one is not willing to face with one's deficiencies one will not once be able to put right what one is reluctant to get to grips with. A word of advice come to mind: Getting acquainted with one's own language is the first step to take before one embarks oneself on learning a foreign language.
