A Wassail Razzle-dazzle of resolution and physical strenght shown by the Tigers at their den last night left the Yankees at a low ebb.
Detroit Tigers 16, New York Yankees 0
The Detroit Tigers had a feast of runs last night when they entertained the New York Yankees at their den. It was a lavish score and extremely pleasing to, both, their fans and aspirations to win the American League this season. Indeed, the scalp was a big spread and they enjoyed the subjugation of the visitors to the fullest extent. Justin Verlander (14-5) was not very munificent to the guests since he only allowed the New Yorkers three hits in seven innings.
