An overwhelming outpour of dejection crept stealthily over the English fans last night as their teams hopes of winning the Euro12 were extinguished by Italy in a penalty shoot-out!

A spirited cluster of English fans endured great agony last night in Kiev's Olympic Stadium as their team lost to Italy on penalties. The absence of certainty in the penalty shoot-out took pleasure in the agony of the supporters of both teams and in the end, the men from Italy scraped through to the semifinals to meet the team from Germany in four days time. Certainly, the English boys gave it their best shot but it proved that Italy succeeded where England had failed a pentad of times.
