Going to bat for fitness – Baseball and Softball!

My idea is to raise awareness of unfitness levels in the United Kingdom & the world, and the need to be fit for life. Indeed, I believe in the need to advise young and old people about the reasons for being fit for life and tell them, as well, what choices they have in order to reach that goal in the helical fitness of well being. Certainly, I am fully aware of the need to emphasize to people that a goal is not a destination but a journey that goes beyond complaisance. Moreover, I have a desire to drive the British people and the rest of the world to the fitness land by making them to realise the importance of being fit for life.

Indeed, I have always advocated eagerly that people ought to have a better understanding of fitness. So what is fitness? I define fitness as a state of utter mental, physical and well being which enables one to meet the demands of one’s environment.

In good health. What does it define? Health is, in my opinion, synonymous with fitness as it defines a state of thorough mental, physical and social constitution. Certainly, regular mental exercises and physical activities are fundamental in improving one’s health in order to be fit for life. Nevertheless, Carbohydrate, minerals, vitamins, protein, water and fibre are as important as self-discipline, body composition, balance, co-ordination, endurance and strength.

Who are we?

Figueras Baseball Academy is a British baseball and softball organisation that is in the immediate present in the process of making itself widely known to the United Kingdom and the world. I purposely chose and launched the academy in South East London in 2010, to be the pioneering region for breaking new ground in baseball and softball, for its proximity to the Crystal Palace National Sport Centre. The academy is committed to expanding its teams with people who have the ability to help its members succeed fully in achieving their objectives, which will, of course, make the academy approach welcomed by all concerned. In simplest terms the academy is developing a comprehensive programme and training methodology which will ensure the standard of coaching to be consistent, in all, attitude, passion, drive, enthusiasm, training outcomes and above all self-belief. The academy is thirsty for success and committed to a course of action, which will allow its members to succeed beyond their expectations. Yeah! We are committed to ensuring that all players at the Academy are equal participants in the Academy’s activities and, that they are given all the necessary means and knowledge both intellectually and physically in order to be successful. That is a promise! Lead by example is the academy’s motto and rest assure that the academy will endeavour to fulfil its promises.

The academy is currently looking at a number of locations within Crystal and Upper Norwood at which to base its headquarters. Once a suitable location has been found we will then be putting more time into publicity around the locality. The academy is also on the lookout for players of all abilities, genders and ages.

The academy also welcomes anyone else who would like to volunteer his services.

Our aim is to form a number of youth and senior teams that can compete in the Baseball UK South East League.

Objectives

Short Term

1. Form a well-run and organised youth and senior baseball clubs

2. Preparation of a club constitution

3. Find a suitable location at which to situate the academy

4. Form several teams to compete in the South East Region of England

5. Organise promotional events to find people who are interested in joining the club.

Long Term

1. The development of our playing facilities

2. Organise promotional events to increase the popularity of baseball in the area

3. Attempt to encourage other local areas to consider forming a baseball club

4. To enhance the quality of life in the community

5. Promote the game of baseball worldwide

6. Promote the game of baseball with development programs by targeting young players and coaches from grassroots to proficient efficiency

Sponsorship Opportunities

We are seeking sponsorship to allow us to meet our objectives and to ensure that the academy remains active and achieving the desired results.
Our main locations for logo/brand placement are as follows:

Team
Each team within the academy will be seeking sponsorship. Logos/brands can be displayed on the team’s playing jersey and training kit.
Removable Pitch Side Advertising Boards
These boards would be put in place during matches and any other events where the public is expected to attend.
Match programme
For each match we are to produce a match programme. This will contain information relevant to academy, and will also have space dedicated to logo/brand placement.

Custom sponsorship packages can be created which include any combination of the above, and also any other sponsorship packages, which both parties agree too.

Funding from sponsorship would be used for thing such as:

1. Ground fees and maintenance

2. Training equipment

3. Transport costs

4. Team equipment

5. League registration fees

6. Coaching fees

7. Administration expenses
