Baseball is never too high on the list of my priorities
It is hardly breaking news that the daylight-saving time set at the weekend hailed the advent of the warmest season of the year in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe. Absolutely, the Champions League and the forthcoming F.A. Cup final would take precedence over mundane issues this summer; however, my thoughts are drawn to the United States of America this weekend where the 2007 Major League Baseball Season gets under way. Spring training, friendly matches and all that jazz have been brought to an end. All the rules have been laid down, rosters and fixtures have been published, so the lengthy Major League Baseball Season is in and will climax with October's World Series. Foretelling a likely winner now would be purely conjectural since it is tough predicting the winner at this stage. Having said that my money is on the New York Yankees.
