Be the best!

We need a Major Baseball league in the United Kingdom. It would be great for the kids, too. Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! I hear you say. But absolute determination makes all the difference in the world when one is faced with challenges since the winning formula in today's competitive global baseball markets is not with those who are too conceited to think they have the know-how keenness of vision but with those who are prepared to master the fundamentals of the game, both, in a theoretical demeanour and a pragmatic deportment, and, of course be determined to go further than their natural boundaries, particularly, when the benefits are likely to result in valuable insights. It is a fact that an idea often belongs not necessarily to those who conceived it but to those who implement it. Indeed, it is my wish to build a team good enough to take the many challenges ahead and win the league time and time again, of course, and enjoy the satisfaction of working on a problem as a whole and in depth. Both, my current coaching position and social style enable me to combine a high degree of trust with a high level of social self-confidence as a result I am able to comfortably and confidently interact in even the most complex social situations. I am seldom fearful of my environment and I am both assertive and trusting but my greatest asset is my ability to confidently communicate with others in any situation. I see this as a very important aptitude since the ability to communicate and work with others are crucial skills in human relations, and far more important than any lack of qualifications, competence or skill. One does not need a degree in human psychology in order to understand and respect those special things about an individual which distinguish him from everyone else. I would, therefore, try with all my mighty, without sounding too condescending, to instil into my players' mind my way of thinking and I expect them to pay careful attention to my instructions of how to go about a particular drill.Yeah! Baseball! Baseball was introduced to the United Kingdom in 1890 by a Derbyshire man named Francis Lee. It was during a visit to the United States of America when Francis Lee became interested in baseball. Francis Lee enlisted the help of an American sporting commodities businessman named Albert Goodwill Spalding who took the opportunity to stretch his business interest across the pond with both hands. Nevertheless, it was not until 1939 that baseball became a popular sport in the United kingdom. Teams shared grounds with football teams of that era, notably, Derby County Football Club whose ground was named, consequently, the Baseball Ground. Baseball was run as a professional game then and it used attracted up to 12000 people per game. It was indeed a considerable number for a sport that had not fully acquired omnipresence in the United Kingdom. At the present time there are over 45 teams in the country and baseball popularity seems to be here to stay for good. Let us make sure that it is the case by forming a strong and united people co-operation in order to create a competitive league good enough to meet the requirements of such a feast.Past and present United Kingdom Baseball Team champions1890 Preston End North F.C. 1892 Middlesborough F.C. 1893 Thespian London 1894 Thespian London 1895 Baseball of the County of the Mushroom Beats 1896 Wallsend- En- Tyne 1897 Baseball of the County of the Mushroom Beats 1898 Baseball of the County of the Mushroom Beats 1899 Nottingham Hoists F.C. 1906 Tottenham Hotspur F.C. 1907 Clapton Guides 1908 Tottenham Hotspur F.C. 1909 Clapton Guides 1910 Brentford 1911 Leyton 1934 Hatfield Liverpool 1935 New London 1936 ...................City White London 1937 Shell 1938 Rochdale Greys 1939 Halifax 1948 Liverpool Robins 1949 Red Hornsey Sox 1950 Burtonwood Bees 1951 Burtonwood Bees 1959 Thames Approaches Mills 1960 Thames Approaches Mills 1961 Liverpool Tigers 1962 Liverpool Tigers 1963 Aces of the Shell of the East 1964 Aces of the Shell 1965 Aces of the Shell 1966 Stetford Saints 1967 Liverpool Yankees 1968 Aces of the Shell 1969 Watford- Rockets of the Sun 1970 Royals Shell 1971 Liverpool Tigers 1972 Aces of the Shell 1973 Burtonwood Tugs 1974 Nottingham León 1975 Liverpool Tigers 1976 Liverpool Trojans 1977 Golders Green Sox 1978 Liverpool Trojans 1979 Golders Green Sox 1980 Liverpool Trojans 1981 London Warriors 1982 London Warriors 1983 Cobham Yankees 1984 Croydon Blue Jays 1985 Mets Shell 1986 Cobham Yankees 1987 Cobham Yankees 1988 Cobham Yankees 1989 London Warriors 1990 Enfield Spartans 1991 Enfield Spartans 1992 Leeds Royals City 1993 Humberside Mets 1994 Humberside Mets 1995 Humberside Mets 1996 Menwith Patriots of the Hill 1997 London Warriors 1998 Menwith Patriots of the Hill 1999 Brighton Buccaneers 2000 London Warriors 2001 Brighton Buccaneers 2002 Brighton Buccaneers 2003 Windsor Bears 2004 Croydon pirates 2005 Croydon pirates 2006 Richmond Burns.
