NY Yankees 6 Philadelphia Phillis 8
Phillis' opening hurler, Cliff Lee, brought home the spirit of autumn to Citizens Bank Park last night when he charted the trials and aspirations of his team and fans as the Philadelphia Phillis defeated the mighty Yankees to take the series back to the Big Apple. Lee pitched seven strong innings as he conceded seven hits for five runs while striking out three batters. Having said that it was the burning bat of Chase Utley that produced the fireworks last night at Citizens Bank Park as Utley hit a gargantuan three-run in the first inning off Yankees' opening hurler, A.J. Burnett, and then a solo blast in the seventh off Yankees' reliever, Phil Coke. All's well that ends well but the series move back to New York for Game 6 as the mighty Yankees still lead the series 3-2. Final score: Phillis 8 Yankees 6.
