Pedro's return to the Big Apple was not a successful one even though he performed brilliantly on the mound for the Phillis last night against the familiar old foes at Yankee Stadium as he allowed the Yankees only six hits for three runs while striking out eight batters in six innings. Unfortunately, two of those hits were solo homers by Yankees' first baseman, Mark Teixeira, and DH, Hideki Matsui, in the bottom of the fourth and sixth innings respectively which in the end led to Pedro's and Phillis' downfall.                      Final score: Phillis 1 Yankees  3.
