Salsa!FiGUERAS BASEBALL ACADEMYThe 2009 Major League Baseball World Series begins this wednesday night and I can assure you that I would not miss it for the world. May the best team win.I am being brutally honest when I say that I have made a conscious effort to refrain myself from making predictions about winners and losers in major competitive events but my reticence has not stopped me from imagining the imaginable spectacle of a massive party in the Big Apple at the end of October. Certainly, the latter causes me some uneasiness since in my innermost thoughts I want the Phillis to win the 2009 Major League Baseball World Series. Having said that the World Series is not an unknown territory for either team and their fans since they, both teams and set of supporters, have been there and done it. However, and indeed, in every competition there have to be winners and losers but let there be no doubt that the stakes are mighty high now for the competitors, punters and fans, and at the end of it all, there will be huge amounts of money exchanging hands, jubilation and inevitably large amount of tears. Aye, aye, make no mistakes about it, it will be "edge of the seat stuff" for everyone concerned since every set of fans will be hoping that their team can steer confidently away from any potentially disastrous failure. Having said that, I would be a fool if I were to try to write the next chapter of this intriguing sporting competition. May the best team win is all I would like to say.Pedro FiguerasClick the link below for the latest in MLB: | ![]() ![]() ![]() |
