It would be almost impossible to anticipate the changes in Mets' pitching rotation for the rest of the season as they lost two games in a series of three against the D-backs but I think it would be safe to say that heads will roll after another disappointment at Citi Field last night. Certainly, Mets' personnel have been accused in the past of being increasingly lackadaisical about their commitment to the cause of their team but their effort last night did not lack vitality and purpose as the players acknowledged they must take their responsibility more seriously than they have been as they fought back valiantly and courageously to the point of almost rescuing a game which was dead in the water from the very first inning. Indeed, Mets' opening hurler, Nelson Figueroa, conceded ten hits, including three homers, for six runs in less than two innings which made Mets' task a monumental one. The visitors' onslaught was masterminded by Third basement, Mark Reynolds' two gargantuan homers off Figueroa in the first and second frame, which yielded three runs for the cause of his team. Catcher, Miguel Montero, also contributed to the foray as he hit a solo homer off Figueroa to put the game to bed for the D-backs. D-backs' opening hurler, Dan Haren, took the win even though he allowed the hosts eight hits and five runs in seven frames. Final score:  Diamondbacks  6  Mets  5.
