Last night's game at Citi Field was facing a daunting prospect as the rain threatened to jeopardise the start of the match. Indeed, we all had to wait for two hours and a bit before we were able to see any action on the field of playing as the heavy fall of rain was having its way. Nevertheless, when it stopped raining most of the 38,000 plus crowd wished the game had been postponed as D-backs' opening hurler, Jon Garland, nailed it on the head as he seemed to have allied himself with the force of nature to fill Citi Field with misery. Certainly, Garland's performance on the mound for the visitors was first class as he conceded a mere seven hits for two runs while striking out two batters in nine frames.
