Curtains down in the London Tournament for another year as France defeats Portugal in the deciding game to carry the trophy to Gaul at Roundshaw Playing Fields in Croydon yesterday afternoon! 13 July 2009 France 6 Portugal 3
Not all fantasy baseball involves electronic gadgets, computers and all the rest of the cyber's world as all the participants of the London Tournament demonstrated at the weekend in Croydon. Indeed, this tournament brought together real people from as far as Venezuela, Dominica Republic, Cuba, United States, Canada, Portugal, France, The Netherlands and Great Britain making this tournament a real international get together. Nevertheless, the team from France won the tournament when they defeated the team from Portugal in the deciding game. The Portuguese team took the lead in the very first frame but a three-run homer in the fourth inning overturned the score in favour of the team from Gaul and it remained so for the remaining innings .
