In usual fashion, the king of the swingers, Dodgers' left-fielder, Manny Ramirez, heightened his reputation, at Citi Field last night in front of 39000 plus crowd, as a hitter and as a man lacking good judgement as he yielded three RBIs and then he was sent off by Head Umpire, John Hirschbek, for ungentlemanly conduct in the fifth inning after he in an almost naked hostility and childish manner threw a tantrum following his second striking-out of the game. Indeed, he argued animatedly with Mr. John Hirschbek as he jumped and stamped on the ground, heavily and repeatedly in a boyish outburst of temper and disobedience once he was called out on strikes which infuriated the local fans. Nevertheless, it was Dodgers' opening hurler, Clayton Kershaw, who took the praises last night as he looked grand on the mound for six frames in which he allowed the hosts a mere three singles and no runs while striking out seven batters. Dodgers' magic spell with the bat was unveiled in the third frame before Mets' opening pitcher, Mike Pelfrey and reliever, Elmer Dessens, by Manny Ramirez with three RBIs and recoiled by Blake DeWitt who clouted a pinch-hit gargantuan homer in the seventh frame off reliever Tim Redding. Final score: Dodgers 8  Mets 0.
