The Championships - Wimbledon 2009 at SW19!

Swiss tennis superstar Roger Federer made his way into the record books and tennis immortality as he clinched his fifteenth Grand Slam title yesterday afternoon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club when he defeated Andy Roddick from the United States of America in a thrilling match which will live in the memory of the tennis' connoisseurs for many years to come since it produced the sort of tennis that put glory for once before cash on central court as the prize money was the least thing in the mind of the contenders in the richest tournament of the tennis world. Indeed, It was an epic final where quarters were not given and none asked as the match went the full five sets allocated for a men's single match at the Championships Wimbledon and a bit more since the last set was decided in the 16th game as Federer broke Roddick serve for the first time in the match in the 15th game which in turn gave him his fifteenth Grand Slam title beaten Pete Sampras' record of fourteen Grand Slams. Pete congratulated Roger after the match and honoured him further by calling him the greatest tennis player of all time and the best player ever to have graced the courts. Final score: 5 - 7, 7 - 6 (8/6), 7 - 6 (7/5), 3-6, 16-14.
