Phils' opening hurler, Jamie Moyer, propelled his team to their second win in an equal number of outings against the Mets in this series, at Citizens Bank Park last night, to hold pole position at the National League East Division. Indeed, there is not much to say about veteran pitcher Jamie Moyer that it has not already been said as his 300 plus wins have placed him on the threshold of baseball immortality and yet the man's will appears to be unbreakable as he seems still to be avid for more as he sets new goals to reach ever greater heights which is a depiction of his commitment to the cause of his team. Last night he allowed the visitors five hits and a mere one run in six innings as the Mets' gunnery could only fire blanks at Phillies' defence and in the end the tourists succumbed to Moyer's missiles.
