Struggling Mets benefited from revitalised hurler, Mike Pelfrey, last night as he steered his team in the direction of glory. Indeed, he had a magnificent night on the mound for the Mets last night at Miller Park as he allowed the hosts six hits and no runs while striking out six batters in seven frames. It must be said that Brewers' opening pitcher, Yovani Gallardo, had a good night on the mound too as he conceded five hits and one run as he struck out, a career-best, twelve batters in seven innings, alas, the promising lad carried the loss.
