Mets continued at full throttle last night at Citi Field as they completed a very successful week winning seven games on the trot. Indeed, they defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates last night to take the series 3 - 0 which is a reflection of the good form in which the Mets are at this instant. Mets' opening hurler, Livan Hernandez, had a good night on the mound as he pitched six innings, conceding two runs, seven hits and four walks while striking out five buccaneers. Pedro Feliciano and J.J. Putz combined to close the game for the Mets. Final score:  Mets  8   Pirates  4.
