John Maine made the Marlins bear the strength of his pace as they failed to avoid swallowing defeat with hook, line and sinker before a 38000 crowd last night at Citi Field in New York. Indeed, Maine's natural talent was right on the money last night as it transcended the need for camouflaging the current downturn in which his team is under. He conceded a single hit and a run while striking out four batters in six innings.
