Japan 5 Korea 2Ichiro Suzuki seized the initiative in the tenth inning at Dodger Stadium last night as his batting breathed fresh life into a game which was in danger of going beyond reasonable limits. Indeed, the tenth inning was heading for simplification with two outs on the board but it all turned to confusion when Ichiro came to bat with runners on second base and third base as he produced a two-run single to the center-field which was enough to put the game to bed and break the Korean fans' heart. It must be said that they are worthy champions as they have beaten all comers in this tournament which will be remember for its fair play and the gentlemanly conduct of its participants.
