It was a matter of good form and fate that Team Korea would defeat Team Venezuela and Team Japan would subdue Team USA to contest the final of the 2009 World Baseball Classic!

The 2009 World Baseball Classic

Korea  10   Venezuela  2
A joyous celebration of survival and the willingness to win at all cost kept Team Korea in the tournament as they took the spoils of fate at Dodger Stadium on Saturday night when they ended Team Venezuela's ambitions to assert their domination in this particular tournament. Indeed, most baseball connoisseurs had the south Americas as their favourite to clinch the title; however, that notion became an illusory matter of reality through its insubstantiality to be effective which was reflected in the final score since it allowed Team Korea to advance to the final of this classic which will take place on Monday at Dodger Stadium against the conquerors of Team USA last night. Japan will be the team they will face and there will be plenty of support for both teams as it will be the fifth time these two teams meet in this tournament. In the meantime, Team Venezuela's manager faces a supporters' inquiry over failure on their team to advance to the next stage of the 2009 World Baseball Classic as they thought that Team Venezuela had the personnel to take home the title. A barely intelligible report was broadcast yesterday afternoon by Luis Sojo, Venezuela manager, which offered no coherent arguments to justify his team loss and consequently elimination from the tournament which made the fans wander whether he was the right man for the job. Final score:   Team Korea  10   Team Venezuela  2.
