China roared back on Saturday night at Tokyo Dome with the last throw of the dice in a display of courage and enterprise as they defeated Chinese Taipei in an elimination game. Over 12000 fans were at the game enjoying the hospitality of the Japanese people and the merriment of the day.  American born, Ray Chang and pitcher, Lu Jiangang were the main contributors to the Chinese victory as the former went 3 for 4 at the plate, with a three-run homer at the bottom of the eighth inning and the latter conceded two hits and allowed one run in five innings on the mound. China's win over Chinese Taipei tell us that China's challenge in the 2009 World Baseball Classic tournament has not fizzled out as it signalled its intentions with this victory over the Chinese Taipei team but it also means that the party is over for the Chinese Taipei which has been eliminated from the tournament.  Final score:  Chinese Taipei  1  China  4.
