Oh! Oh! Gods and Goddess of the infinite - Almighty - you who gave light to the darkness and created life on Earth is your force mighty enough to prompt the banks to lend again?

It is easily enough to see the dark truth that lies behind the reluctance of the banks to lend money again even though interest rates are at all-time lows for they are still bearing the cost of such a risky undertaking. The days when one used to say "buy, buy, buy I will find the money somehow", is no longer good enough for those who exchange goods for money since banks have frozen lending. However, the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee has come up with the exceptional step of printing money to further cut interest rates to a new record level in an effort to encourage the deflating economy. It is believed that the rate will be cut to half of one per cent and in order to inspire confidence in the market the Bank of England has recourse to its hoard to increase the money supply to banks. It has been said that approximately 150 thousand million English pounds in bank notes will be printed in a bid to enliven the economy. Let us hope that the Bank of England, the Chancellor and the Prime Minister are right in thinking this is the best equitable move to the magic solution of the recession.
